Cassandra Campbell
Consultant - Sustainability and the Environment
Following several years in marketing, specialising in property, Cassandra moved to Italy in 1992, working for Hillier Parker, to find retail and leisure opportunities for HP’s developer and cinema clients.
HP was soon retained by Chuck Wesoky, then CEO of UCI, to find sites for multiplexes throughout Italy and through working closely with him and his team, Cassandra came to understand the workings of the cinema industry. When Millard Ochs replaced Chuck, UCI continued its relationship with Cassandra and HP in Italy.
As Millard became President of Warner Bros International Theatres he asked Cassandra to join his new team, as European Property Director. Initially based in London then Spain she spent 3 years opening up the Spanish and Portuguese markets, working with WBIT’s partners Lusomundo and Prisa (Sogecable) in the Iberian Peninsular and then Village Roadshow in Italy and latterly part-time in the UK with John Sullivan.
Throughout this time she gained an extensive knowledge of the southern European shopping centre and leisure industry and the cinema market in particular. Following a hectic four years at WBIT, Cassandra returned to the UK in 1998 to join Chelverton Properties as European Property Director, to spearhead their ambitious development programme in Spain, Greece and the countries of the former Eastern Bloc.
In 2000 she was again approached by Chuck Wesoky to join him as a founding partner of EuroPlex cinemas and she moved to Greece. Following the opening of two new multiplexes in 15 months, the company was bought by AudioVisual. Cassandra remained in Greece where she took on a consultancy role, specialising in southern European retail and leisure.
